Here we go again, another Sunday, another shooting, but this time, thank God, it was stopped by good guys with guns and one brave parishioner with a vehicle. The latest attempted massacre happened at CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, where a heavily armed man rolled up during a morning service packed with about 150 people.
The shooter, now identified as 31-year-old Brian Anthony Browning of Romulus, Michigan, decided it was a good idea to play Call of Duty in real life, bringing an AR-15-style rifle, a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine, more than a dozen rifle magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammo. Spoiler alert: it didn’t end well for him.

According to Wayne Police Chief Ryan Strong, the chaos started when churchgoers noticed Browning driving erratically through the parking lot. Once he hopped out in a tactical vest with a rifle, several parishioners immediately recognized what was about to happen. But instead of panicking, they took action. One quick-thinking parishioner used his vehicle to ram the shooter as Browning opened fire, riddling the car with bullets. Talk about guts.
Meanwhile, armed church security staff didn’t hesitate either. Two of them drew their weapons and fired back, fatally wounding Browning before he could unleash carnage inside the church. That’s how it’s done when your Second Amendment rights aren’t just for show.
Now, here’s where the leftist media spin machine tried to get ahead of the story. Early reports flooded social media with rumors that this was another Iranian-backed terror attack, given the heightened tensions from the Middle East after President Trump’s bunker buster strikes. But local police confirmed there’s no evidence linking Browning’s attack to Iran or any foreign group. Instead, they say he may have been suffering from a mental health crisis. Shocking, right? Another mentally unstable person slipping through the cracks while politicians ignore the real issues.
The most ironic part? Browning had attended the church a few times with his mother, a church member. Imagine sitting next to someone in the pews one week and having them show up with a rifle the next.
But let’s get this straight: the only reason this didn’t turn into another headline about mass casualties is because armed citizens and church security were prepared.
