BREAKING: ICE Raids Restaurant Owned by Husband of Trump-Hating CBS Anchor

CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell and her husband, restaurateur Geoff Tracy, got a rude awakening Tuesday morning as President Trump’s administration took another bold step in enforcing immigration law—and this time, it landed squarely at their doorstep.

As first reported by FOX 5 DC, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents raided Chef Geoff’s, a trendy D.C. eatery owned by Tracy, just before lunchtime. The agents arrived around 10:30 a.m. and demanded access to the restaurant’s I-9 employment verification forms—a standard step in verifying the legal work status of employees. According to eyewitnesses, the staff panicked. The agents remained for about 90 minutes but left without arresting anyone.

But Chef Geoff’s wasn’t the only hotspot that got a visit. According to the New York Post, ICE targeted at least eight other restaurants around the nation’s capital, including Officina, Mi Vida, Jaleo, Clyde’s, Pupatella, Call Your Mother, Millie’s, and Santa Rosa Taqueria. NBC 4 later revealed that some establishments were tipped off in advance, though it remains unclear whether O’Donnell’s restaurant was among them.

Naturally, D.C.’s left-wing leadership didn’t take kindly to federal law being enforced. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who’s spent years promoting sanctuary policies, called the raids “disturbing” and claimed they weren’t targeting “criminals.” Apparently, illegal immigration is now a victimless crime in the eyes of D.C. leadership.

The meltdown extended beyond City Hall. Local residents, still living in their fantasy bubble, called the raids “anxiety-inducing,” with one hysterical woman likening deportation to being sent to “concentration camps.” That’s not hyperbole—it’s delusion.

The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington chimed in with predictable outrage, accusing ICE of “fear-mongering” for daring to disrupt the lunch hour. Apparently, enforcing federal law is now considered a hate crime in elite D.C. dining circles.

And let’s not forget the bigger picture here: this is exactly the kind of chaos that flourishes when city leaders coddle lawbreakers instead of backing the rule of law. President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem have made it crystal clear—if you harbor illegal workers, expect consequences.

So, if Norah O’Donnell and her husband didn’t like Tuesday’s visit, here’s some free advice: make sure your staff is legal. Until then, no one’s above the law—not even the media’s chosen class in their $22-a-salad bistros.
