BREAKING: Liberal Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Gives President Trump HUGE Win

Yeah, this one was wild. The news hit like a political lightning bolt: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson—the left’s favorite “progressive icon”—actually sided with President Trump’s administration to stop a lower court from forcing the government to raid the school lunch budget to pay for full SNAP benefits during the shutdown. You could practically hear heads exploding across MSNBC.

Let’s break this down, because it’s one of those moments that exposes just how upside-down the priorities of some judges have become.

The Trump administration made it clear: they were going to use emergency funds to partially cover food stamps while the shutdown continued. The problem? Those funds don’t magically multiply, and they were only enough to cover about 65% of normal benefits. It wasn’t ideal, but it was responsible. You can’t spend money that doesn’t exist—unless you’re a D.C. bureaucrat who’s never balanced a checkbook.

Then along came Judge Jack McConnell, an Obama appointee, swinging his gavel like it was a magic wand. He ordered the administration to pay out full benefits, even though the money wasn’t there, and told them to just yank billions from child nutrition programs. You know, the ones that fund school lunches for kids. The kind of decision that sounds compassionate until you realize it’s literally taking food off children’s plates.

This is where even Justice Jackson had to draw the line. Her order didn’t end the fight completely—it’s a temporary pause—but it blocked that lower court madness long enough for the Supreme Court to actually hear the case. And if she, of all people, thinks something smells off, you know the lower court overreached.

Let’s not gloss over the insanity here. McConnell’s ruling essentially told the Trump administration to commit financial sleight of hand during a government shutdown. Congress controls the purse strings, not judges. If a program runs short because lawmakers can’t pass a budget, the executive branch can’t just start moving billions around like Monopoly money. That’s not how the system works.

And for the record, the people running SNAP aren’t starving in the streets. Many receive assistance while also working, and yes, many genuinely need help—but we’re talking about an enormous program that already costs taxpayers tens of billions every year. You can’t just “find” an extra five billion lying around in the cafeteria fund.

Pam Bondi nailed it when she called the judge’s order “utterly lawless.” Forcing the USDA to rob one program to overfund another is the kind of judicial activism that makes regular Americans lose faith in the courts. Thankfully, at least for now, sanity prevailed.

So yeah, a temporary win for common sense—and for the rule of law. And if Justice Jackson keeps blocking rogue rulings like this, she might just need to start checking her invite list for the next liberal fundraiser, because she’s not going to be very popular in that crowd right now.

  • Every Demonrat that’s behind the govt. shutdown needs to be fired immediately and no severance pay. These socialist Dems need to be tried for treason. This country is a constitutional republic not China or Russia. Every one of these idiots need to be in prison. Thank God Nancy Piglosi is retiring. Upchuck Schumer needs to step down also. The looney left must get over their socialist ideals and help return this country back to the constitutional ways of the past. We don’t want one world order or communism. The Trans issues need to back in the closet not shoved down our throats. Progressives are not for common sense.
