Rep. Anna Paulina Luna just dropped a political grenade, and it landed right on the doorstep of Bill and Hillary Clinton. According to her, the Clintons are now flat out refusing to appear before the House Oversight Committee for their scheduled depositions relating to their long running entanglement with Jeffrey Epstein. For a couple that never stops lecturing America about transparency, this is quite a moment.
These depositions were not surprise pop quizzes. Hillary Clinton was originally supposed to sit down with investigators on October 9, 2025, and Bill Clinton on October 14. Both were delayed after their lawyers asked for more time. Now the story has changed entirely. Luna says they are refusing to appear at all. She put it bluntly on X, writing that Bill and Hillary Clinton are refusing to appear and that House Democrats have suddenly gone mute.

The Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, issued a slew of subpoenas in August as part of a broadened federal review of how Epstein’s case was handled. This was not some partisan one off. The committee also subpoenaed former attorneys general from both parties along with former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller. The Clintons were simply two names on a long list, but they were also the most politically radioactive.
Comer has said straight out that Bill Clinton is a prime suspect in the Epstein investigation. He wants answers about Clinton’s repeated visits to Epstein Island and why a former president was so cozy with a convicted sex offender. Bill Clinton has admitted he flew on Epstein’s jet more than twenty times. Epstein visited the Clinton White House over seventeen times. These are not casual numbers. They are patterns.
So now the public is left watching two of the most powerful Democrats of the last thirty years pretend they have no obligation to cooperate with an inquiry that touches on their own well documented associations. It is not surprising that Democrats in Congress have suddenly clammed up. Calling for accountability is a lot easier when the target is a Republican. When it is the Clintons, everyone mysteriously develops laryngitis.
Refusing to testify might buy the Clintons time, but it does not change the facts. Oversight has the subpoenas. Comer has already said he intends to get answers. And the public has not forgotten the flight logs, the photos, the visitor records or the inexplicable number of times Epstein popped up in Clinton world.
The Clintons can stall, delay, or try to brazen it out, but the investigation is not going away. Not this time.
