Comey Explodes in Five Minute Rant Slamming Trump After Shocking Firing of His Daughter

James Comey just can’t help himself. After years of watching his legacy unravel under the weight of his own actions, the disgraced former FBI Director emerged from the shadows Sunday evening to deliver a five-minute, self-indulgent sermon — this time sparked by the firing of his daughter, federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.

Maurene Comey, who had been with the SDNY for nearly a decade and was involved in some of the highest-profile cases — including the prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle — was unceremoniously fired last Wednesday. According to reports from the Associated Press, no specific reason was provided for her termination, which came via memo from Main Justice.

But that didn’t stop James Comey from doing what he does best: turning a straightforward personnel decision into a melodramatic plea for moral superiority. In a video posted to his Substack, Comey launched into a lengthy monologue about “reservoirs of trust” and the “sacred duty” of Justice Department employees, painting his daughter as a martyr and implying President Trump was behind it all.

Comey read aloud Maurene’s farewell message to her colleagues, which was less a goodbye and more a not-so-subtle political indictment. She warned that “fear is the tool of a tyrant” and claimed her firing could chill independent thought within the DOJ. Ironically, this is coming from a woman whose father helped lead the most politically motivated investigation in modern history — the bogus Trump-Russia probe — all while leaking memos and playing puppet master with the media.

Of course, Comey couldn’t resist closing with a shot at Trump, accusing the president and current DOJ leaders of turning the department into a “gold-leaf-covered Trump subsidiary.” That’s rich coming from the man who destroyed the FBI’s credibility and handed the Steele Dossier to agents as if it were gospel truth.

Let’s be real: Maurene Comey didn’t get fired for “speaking truth to power.” She got fired in an agency where turnover happens, especially when politics, performance, and high-level investigations are involved. But for the Comey clan, every consequence is a conspiracy, and every removal is a revolution.

In the end, it’s the same tired act from a man who still believes he’s the conscience of the nation — even as the facts keep proving otherwise.
