Democrat City CANCELS “LGBTQ Pride” Event Due to Low Interest

Well, well, well — look what we have here. In what may be a sign of cultural sanity making a long-overdue comeback, the liberal city of Boise, Idaho has just canceled its kickoff event for “Pride Month” due to low turnout. Not protests, not bad weather — just not enough people who care to show up. That sound you hear? It’s the sound of America finally getting sick of the woke circus.

According to Idaho News, the event — scheduled for June 6 — was supposed to kick off the city’s extended Pride season and serve as a warm-up for the main Boise Pride celebration in September. Organizers claimed there was plenty of “online enthusiasm,” but apparently, hitting “like” on a rainbow post doesn’t translate to actual human beings showing up in real life. Who knew?

Organizers put out a statement insisting that “the desire for more Pride programming is real,” but also admitted they didn’t have enough “early community buy-in” to make the event happen. Translation: no one cared, and the sponsors weren’t biting. Whether that means low ticket sales or businesses pulling the plug on funding — they didn’t say. But either way, it’s a bust.

This all comes in the wake of President Trump’s administration putting an end to the federally endorsed celebration of “Pride Month.” That’s right — no more rainbow flags flying from U.S. embassies, no more taxpayer-funded drag queens reading to kids at public libraries on the federal dime. While Democrat-controlled cities like Boise are still trying to prop up this ideology with government symbolism — like adopting the Pride flag as an official city flag just to get around new flag display restrictions — it’s clear the enthusiasm is fading fast.

And let’s be honest: maybe, just maybe, people are finally tired of being forced to applaud the most bizarre and aggressive elements of LGBTQ activism. There’s a big difference between treating people with respect and being expected to celebrate every fringe identity that pops up on TikTok.

The cancellation in Boise isn’t just about one event. It’s part of a larger cultural shift. Americans — even in liberal cities — are starting to say, enough is enough. You can only shout “Pride!” for so many years before people stop listening.

The pendulum is swinging back toward normal — and not a moment too soon.
