Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Flops Spectacularly – One of Worst Movies of All Time!

Well, it finally happened — Disney’s Snow Woke just made history… for all the wrong reasons. With a dismal $43 million opening weekend, the live-action disaster now holds the record for the worst debut of any Disney live-action remake. Yes, even worse than Dumbo (2019), which barely managed $46 million — and that was considered a flop five years ago.

And let’s be real: when you adjust for inflation, Dumbo’s $46 million becomes around $57 million in today’s dollars. So Snow White didn’t just underperform — it faceplanted. For added perspective, the 1996 101 Dalmatians (starring Glenn Close, back when Disney still knew how to make movies) opened to $33.5 million, which would be about $68 million today — and that’s a 29-year-old movie.

Globally, it’s even uglier. Industry trackers were hoping Snow White might crack $100 million worldwide in its debut. It didn’t. As of Monday, it’s crawling in at $87 million, and unless a miracle happens, Disney’s $270 million girlboss fairytale isn’t even going to break even — let alone turn a profit. Once theaters take their 50% cut, the Mouse House is staring down a colossal financial crater.

So what’s the excuse from the Entertainment Media Industrial Complex? Are they finally admitting that Rachel Zegler’s smug lectures, anti-male rants, and the film’s cringeworthy feminist rewrites might have something to do with it? Of course not. That would require self-awareness.

No, the geniuses over at Penske Media are blaming… wait for it… Snow White’s age. Seriously. According to their galaxy-brain analysis, this remake flopped because the original animated classic is 88 years old. Right, because audiences are just too confused by the idea of old stories now.

Funny — if being “too old” were the issue, how did Cinderella (1950) become a box office smash in 2015 with a $68 million opening and $542 million global haul? Adjusted for inflation, that opening is $92 million today. Sounds like “old” stories aren’t the problem — bad storytelling is.

Disney has burned through all its goodwill, and audiences are finally voting with their wallets. People are tired of being talked down to. They’re tired of their childhood classics being hijacked by woke ideology and repackaged with smug leads and soulless scripts. Snow White didn’t fail because of “cold themes” — it failed because Disney and Zegler told the audience they were stupid for loving the original.

You want to save Hollywood? Try making movies people actually want to see. Radical idea, I know.
