The CEO of United Airlines just dropped into a press conference with Senator JD Vance and other members of the Trump administration and essentially told the Democrats: stop playing political games and pass a clean Continuing Resolution (CR) to reopen the government.
Now of course, he tried to play the old “I’m not picking sides” game. You know, the classic corporate attempt to have it both ways. But let’s be real, when you’re standing shoulder to shoulder with JD Vance and speaking at a Trump-aligned press conference while directly telling Democrats to get in line, the mask’s off. You’ve picked your side. And spoiler alert, it’s not Chuck Schumer and the Squad.
What we’re seeing here is something the left doesn’t want to admit, real-world consequences from their obstruction. When you’ve got the head of one of the biggest airlines in America saying, “We’re starting to see a booking impact… the whole economy is at risk,” that’s not some MAGA talking point. That’s a guy who deals with actual numbers, real people, and thousands of flights a day. And when he’s standing next to JD Vance, a guy who’s become a rising star in conservative politics, and says, “Pass a clean CR,” you better believe that’s a shot across the bow at the Democrat leadership.

And let’s not forget, the Democrats could pass a clean CR today. Republicans, including President Trump’s team, have been clear: pass the CR, then negotiate the bigger issues behind closed doors. But Democrats won’t do it, because for them, holding the government hostage is a strategy. They think if they drag this out long enough, the media will blame Republicans and the public will forget whose fingerprints are all over this mess.
But that plan’s falling apart fast. Even the corporate class, which, let’s be honest, usually leans left when it comes to social issues and woke virtue signaling, is starting to side with Team Trump because the economic pain is getting too real. Pilots, TSA agents, FAA workers, all are showing up and doing their jobs. Meanwhile, Democrats are the ones letting the government stay shut down over political grandstanding.
So yes, this is big. A major CEO just chose to stand with President Trump’s allies and call out the real problem. Democrats are losing control of the narrative. The cracks are showing. And the more Americans see through this nonsense, the more they’ll remember who actually puts America first, and who puts politics above all else.
