Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 gang member, illegal immigrant, and suspected human smuggler, might be facing deportation — not to his home country of El Salvador, but to Uganda. Yes, Uganda. Welcome to the bizarre new chapter in America’s border crisis, brought to you by the Trump administration’s attempt to actually hold criminals accountable.
According to Garcia’s legal team, the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security told them on Friday that if their client refuses a plea deal, he could be deported to Uganda. If he does take the plea, then he’d be sent to Costa Rica. This has the Left screaming “coercion,” but for most Americans who are tired of violent criminals slipping through the cracks, it sounds a lot more like consequences.
Garcia, who has been charged with federal human smuggling crimes, was pulled over in Tennessee in 2022 with nine other individuals stuffed into a Chevy Suburban. Among them? A 15-year-old boy who, to this day, Homeland Security says they haven’t been able to locate. So not only was Garcia driving around with a vehicle full of illegal aliens, he may be connected to a missing minor. And somehow he’s the victim?
The DOJ isn’t playing games. A spokesperson made it clear that Garcia is considered a “clear danger to the community,” and that they’re going to hold him accountable — plea deal or not. “This defendant can plead guilty and accept responsibility or stand trial before a jury,” the statement read. “Either way, we will hold Abrego Garcia accountable and protect the American people.”
This comes after Garcia was mistakenly deported once before — back to El Salvador — where his cheerleaders in the media and Democrat Party painted him as a poor, misunderstood “Maryland man.” Turns out he wasn’t just misunderstood — he was also allegedly connected to gang activity, possible sexual misconduct, and human trafficking.
Now he’s back in Maryland awaiting trial, walking around free despite a rap sheet that should’ve had him locked up and shipped out a long time ago. If convicted, Garcia could face up to 10 years per smuggled individual and a $250,000 fine — and that’s just scratching the surface.
Let’s be honest — whether it’s Uganda or anywhere else that’ll take him, it’s time to deport this guy and send a message. Criminal aliens do not get to game the system forever.
