Another day, another Democrat-run city in chaos. This time it’s Portland, Oregon, where the National Guard deployment ordered by President Trump has been blocked by a federal judge. And guess what? The judge is none other than Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee herself. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

President Trump decided to send troops to Portland and other cities run by Democrats to protect ICE agents from those charming Antifa folks and their radical left buddies. You know, the ones who think setting things on fire is a form of peaceful protest. But apparently, Governor Tina Kotek of Oregon thinks otherwise. She’s telling the President to “stand down” while her city continues to resemble a scene out of Mad Max.
Judge Immergut issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), which sounds like something you’d get against a stalker ex-boyfriend rather than the Commander-in-Chief trying to restore order. She even had the audacity to warn that Trump’s actions could lead to a constitutional crisis. Oh please, as if Portland isn’t already in crisis mode with its streets looking like an apocalyptic movie set.
And surprise, surprise! CNN is all over this story like ants on a picnic sandwich. They reported that Judge Immergut’s ruling is yet another setback for the White House’s efforts to bring some sanity back to these Democrat-led cities. Apparently, protecting ICE facilities from rioters is now controversial. Who knew?
The TRO will expire in 14 days; mark your calendars for October 18th when this temporary legal speed bump comes to an end. Until then, it seems like Portland will continue its descent into chaos while everyone argues over whether or not it’s okay for the federal government to step in and do something about it.
In the meantime, Antifa and their far-left pals are having a field day taking over the streets once again. It’s almost as if they’re auditioning for some dystopian reality show called “Who Can Cause More Mayhem?” Spoiler alert: they’re winning.
So here we are watching this political circus unfold with popcorn in hand as President Trump tries to do what he believes is necessary to protect American citizens and maintain law and order. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good narrative when there’s political drama at stake?
