Lemon’s latest meltdown happened during a “street interview” he thought would make Trump supporters look bad. Instead, he got verbally obliterated by two regular Americans who had the audacity to come armed with facts and common sense. The topic? Whether a misdemeanor is a crime. Now, this shouldn’t even be a debate. But Don, ever the scholar, claimed that a misdemeanor isn’t a crime. In his magical CNN-fueled fantasyland, you can commit a misdemeanor and somehow still be an innocent little lamb.
The Americans he tried to “school” ended up giving him a free civics lesson. Spoiler alert: a misdemeanor is, by definition, a crime. It might not be a felony, but it’s still a criminal offense. What set him off this time? President Trump’s appointment of Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-born tech leader, as his senior advisor on AI. Yes, Trump appointed an immigrant. Naturally, that didn’t fit the “MAGA is racist” narrative, so Lemon cracked like a dropped egg. He ranted about immigration, mocked anyone concerned with legal reforms, and went off on a tangent so incoherent it sounded like Kamala Harris wrote it.
Meanwhile, the actual MAGA base is having a thoughtful debate on how to fix our broken legal immigration system, letting in the best and brightest while protecting American jobs. But Lemon’s not interested in nuance. He’s interested in screaming into his iPhone like a deranged college freshman after their first gender studies class.
Bottom line? Don Lemon is not a serious person. He’s a walking billboard for why the corporate media bubble needs to burst, and judging by his rants, that bubble’s popped already.
