WTH? Office Depot Staff Refuse to Print Charlie Kirk Vigil Posters, Calls It “Propaganda”

So now printing a prayer vigil poster is “political propaganda”? That’s the new standard, apparently, at the Office Depot in Portage, Michigan, where a group of teenage boys trying to organize a peaceful vigil for Charlie Kirk were flat-out refused service—even after paying in advance. And the reason? Not because of formatting issues or technical errors, but because the store’s employees decided that honoring a murdered conservative was just a little too offensive for their personal taste.

According to the jaw-dropping video shared by a woman working with the teens, they had ordered and paid for posters to be used at a Charlie Kirk memorial vigil. When they showed up to pick up their materials, the print supervisor and another manager told them flat out, “We don’t print propaganda.” No explanation. No apology. Just flat-out bias on display in the most unprofessional way possible.

“So, we came in for an order earlier—to print a poster for a vigil tonight, for somebody that passed,” one of the boys explained. The response? “Yeah, so we don’t print propaganda,” barked the manager.

The boys, clearly caught off guard, tried to explain that the event was a vigil, not a campaign rally, not a protest, but a prayerful moment to honor someone who had just been assassinated. And yet, the Office Depot staff still sneered, “It’s propaganda. I’m sorry. We don’t print that here.” Sorry? They weren’t sorry. They were proud of it.

Let’s be honest: if these kids were printing posters for a Black Lives Matter vigil or a climate strike or a drag queen story hour, these same employees would’ve been rolling out the red carpet. But because the vigil was for Charlie Kirk—a conservative, a Christian, and a prominent critic of the radical left—they decided to play gatekeeper of “acceptable” expression.

When the teens asked for the names of the employees, the male supervisor mumbled something unintelligible, while the other manager smugly added, “We don’t print that here.” She also suggested they “come back Monday” if they wanted to talk to the general manager. Great solution—just cancel your event and hope the boss isn’t equally partisan.

The store is located at 6685 South Westnedge Ave. in Portage, Michigan. It might be time for Office Depot corporate to explain whether their printing services are open to everyone—or just the ones who vote Democrat.

  • Forget the boycott – sue them for violation of our Constitutional Rights. … also, since the order that was placed was Paid for in advance, add the charge of Money Had and Received – and if a “refund” is offered, levy a substantial Penalty Fee for Breaking an implied Contract since the money was accepted in the first place (breach of contract), Add in Damages caused since the posters originally promised by a certain time (for the vigil) were reneged, that particular time cannot be recaptured. The posters were not vulgar nor hateful – unlike some I have seen from other factions. What happened to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression. To quote the cartoon character Charlie Brown – Good Grief!

  • Just a reflection of the culture in that workplace. Over time, they have probably refused to print things for many non-liberal groups, but there were no receipts. This time, they got caught because they took payment in advance.
