Nancy Mace Completely Destroys Ilhan Omar in Online Catfight

Representative Nancy Mace set social media on fire Sunday after unloading on Representative Ilhan Omar in the aftermath of the U.S. strikes on Iran, and she did not exactly use a velvet glove.

The clash began after Mace mocked Omar and Representative Rashida Tlaib following confirmation that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed in the coordinated U.S.–Israeli strikes. Mace sarcastically sent them “thoughts and prayers,” a jab clearly aimed at their vocal criticism of President Trump’s decision to authorize the operation.

Omar fired back, accusing Mace of being drunk. “I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice,” Omar wrote. “Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk.”

That set the stage for what came next.

Appearing on Newsmax with Ed Henry, Mace addressed Omar’s frustration that the strike occurred during Ramadan. Mace did not soften her stance. “I don’t give a damn if it’s Ramadan. I don’t care if Muslims are fasting right now,” she said. “This was the right time with the right Intel, the right President, to go in there and do this.”

She went even further, saying, “I’m ready to denaturalize and deport her to Somalia.”

That line alone ensured the clip would go viral.

The broader context is the fierce disagreement over President Trump’s decision to strike Iranian leadership targets. Omar and Tlaib have been among the most outspoken critics of the operation, arguing it risks escalation and further instability in the Middle East. Mace, on the other hand, has framed the strike as decisive and long overdue.

After Omar’s accusation about drinking, Mace escalated the exchange again by referencing longstanding allegations about Omar’s past personal life, including claims that she married her brother to commit immigration fraud. “So tell me, what was it like being married to your brother?” Mace shot back.

That remark reignited a controversy that has followed Omar for years, though she has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

The episode underscores how heated political rhetoric has become, particularly when foreign policy, religion, and immigration collide. What began as disagreement over military strategy quickly devolved into personal attacks and calls for deportation.

For supporters of President Trump’s Iran strikes, Mace’s comments reflect frustration with progressive lawmakers who they believe reflexively oppose any assertive use of American power. For Omar’s allies, the exchange crossed lines of decorum and veered into dangerous territory.

Either way, the feud highlights the widening chasm inside Congress over America’s role abroad and the tone of debate at home. In today’s political climate, even a foreign military strike can instantly turn into a deeply personal brawl on social media and cable news.
