Ah, Pope Leo XIV, the new voice of liberal wisdom from the Vatican. It seems like every time he opens his mouth, he’s got something to say about President Trump and his policies. This time, he’s all about immigration and how we should be throwing open our doors like it’s a Black Friday sale at Walmart.
So there he was, standing in front of thousands at St. Peter’s Square, telling everyone that migrants shouldn’t be met with “the coldness of indifference or the stigma of discrimination.” Sounds nice on paper, right? But let’s break it down. He wants us to welcome everyone with open arms and hearts, as if that’s going to solve all the world’s problems overnight. Sure, because that approach has worked out so well in Europe.
Leo’s vision is for a “new missionary age” where hospitality and compassion are the order of the day. And by hospitality, he means letting anyone and everyone cross borders without a second thought. It’s almost as if he forgot that there’s a difference between legal and illegal migration. But hey, details are for conservatives who actually care about law and order.
And then there’s his take on President Trump’s pro-life stance. Apparently, you can’t be against abortion while supporting deportation policies. According to Leo, if you’re not rolling out the red carpet for illegal immigrants, you’re not really pro-life. It’s an interesting leap in logic—one that only makes sense if you’re sipping on some seriously strong Vatican wine.
NBC’s @GabeGutierrez: “Senator Dick Durbin — he was set to receive a lifetime achievement award from the Catholic Church, and since declined accepting it because there has been some controversy. Pope Leo commented on this, and he said that ‘someone who says I'm against abortion,… pic.twitter.com/cUkGaRqUS6

The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasn’t having any of it though. She shot back saying there’s no inhumane treatment under this administration; instead pointing fingers at previous administrations where illegal immigrants faced horrific conditions while trying to cross into the U.S. But let’s not let facts get in the way of a good papal sermon.
And just when you think Leo might have run out of things to criticize about President Trump and Republicans, he goes after climate change too! Blessing blocks of ice now? That’s a new one. Apparently, accusing Trump and the GOP of “ridiculing those who speak of global warming” is part of his holy mission now.
It’s fascinating how Pope Leo XIV seems more interested in playing politics than focusing on spiritual guidance these days. Maybe next week he’ll bless a solar panel or two while lecturing us on renewable energy sources.
In any case, it’s clear that Pope Leo XIV is determined to make his mark as a champion of leftist causes from his perch in Rome. Meanwhile, those who value traditional conservative principles will continue to advocate for secure borders and sensible immigration policies—because someone has to keep reality in check amidst all this pontifical pontificating!

Why do you have that big wall around the Vatican? Why not everyone in? Jesus, out of grace, forgave sins. But, you know what He always ended it with? “Go and sin NO MORE!
Maybe all the illegal immigrants should go to the Vatican. May as well put some wind mills up in the square. — Me thinks the Pope is a member of the group NIMBY (not in my backyard).
By the way, Trump has a very good track record for bringing peace – even Monks have nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize (#7). How many does the Pope have???
Yep. If the pope really has such great compassion, let him know the world will believe he is serious once he takes 200K “migrants” into the Vatican itself.
