BOOM: Trump Corners Democrats with New Healthcare Plan

It looks like President Trump is gearing up to do what Democrats promised for a decade and never delivered, fix the Obamacare disaster instead of duct taping it every election cycle. Right after signing the funding bill to reopen the government, he lit into Obamacare again, saying exactly what millions of Americans have been yelling at their screens for years, stop shoveling billions to Big Insurance and give the money directly to the people so they can buy their own plans. Radical concept, apparently.

The bombshell is that Trump is expected to announce the Healthcare Price Cuts Act, possibly as early as Monday. According to MSNOW, it is designed to blow up the current subsidy system that props up insurance companies while leaving families with premiums that look like mortgage payments. Democrats spent years defending Obamacare as if it were some sacred pillar of democracy. Now Trump has them cornered. They can either defend Big Insurance or admit the system they built is collapsing.

The outline of the plan is straightforward. It halts Obamacare premium spikes, ends zero premium subsidies that distort the market, and cracks down on the so called ghost beneficiaries scam that allows billions in fraud to flow through the system. It also deposits money directly into Health Savings Accounts, letting people choose lower premium options without getting punished for it. In Trump’s words, “I am calling today for insurance companies NOT to be paid. But for this massive amount of money be paid DIRECTLY to the people.” Then he added, “Forget this Obamacare madness.” Honestly, that slogan alone is going to give lobbyists nightmares.

The stakes are high. ACA subsidies expire at the end of the year, which means premiums for nearly twenty-two million Americans will explode if nothing changes. Democrats already floated a two year extension, which fixes nothing and simply buys time for insurance companies to cash in. Trump’s proposal actually deals with the problem, which explains why the left will probably fight it even if it helps their own voters.

White House officials say the announcement will come with remarks from Trump and Dr. Mehmet Oz, who now runs the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson were reportedly briefed Sunday. For Republicans, this is the first major health care policy push since the shutdown standoff, and it could reshape the entire debate.

This is great news for Americans drowning in medical costs and terrible news for the insurance giants who have been feasting on Obamacare for years. The only question now is simple, will Democrats side with families or with the donors who fund their campaigns. If history is any guide, we already know the answer.

  • The Democratic party needs to be disbanded and most of them belong in prison. The Dems have caused all the problems in this country that we deal with on a daily basis.

  • Dems insist that Obamacare plans cost so much because they all include “comprehensive coverage.” After all, a 70 year old, single, biological male might actually need those OBGYN procedures, ya know?
