Liberal Judge Sabotages Massive Deportation Effort—Half a Million Illegals Affected

A federal judge has just handed Joe Biden’s open-borders legacy a lifeline—and dealt a blow to the Trump administration’s push to clean up the mess. On Monday, Obama-appointed Judge Indira Talwani blocked the Trump administration from ending the legal status and work permits of over 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who entered the U.S. under Biden’s controversial CHNV parole scheme.

That’s right—half a million migrants, flown in under the guise of “humanitarian parole,” are now shielded by a court order. According to Judge Talwani, each individual must receive a “case-by-case review” before their status can be revoked. Because apparently, using executive authority to grant mass parole is fine, but using the same authority to revoke it? Well, that’s somehow tyranny.

To recap: Biden cooked up the CHNV program back in 2022, expanded it in 2023, and used executive parole authority to allow migrants—and their families—to fly directly into the U.S. if they had American sponsors. No asylum court dates, no processing at the border, no real vetting. Just show up with a sponsor and enjoy two years of legal status and work permits.

The White House claimed CHNV would reduce illegal border crossings and improve vetting. That sounded good in a press release, but the program quickly turned into a magnet for fraud, abuse, and, tragically, serious crimes. Several parolees under the program were later arrested for offenses including child rape—and the system was temporarily paused when rampant fraud came to light.

In March, the Trump administration took action, telling the 532,000 CHNV beneficiaries that their status would expire on April 24. But now, thanks to a single activist judge, that effort has been blocked—because the same executive authority Biden used to open the floodgates apparently can’t be used to shut them.

A Trump administration official didn’t mince words: “It is pure lawless tyranny.” Hard to argue. This isn’t just judicial overreach—it’s judicial obstruction of the people’s will. Biden unilaterally created the CHNV program with the stroke of a pen. Trump’s administration is simply reversing it—yet now the courts are saying that’s unlawful?

If the Left can invent entire immigration pipelines from thin air, but conservatives can’t shut them down without being blocked by Obama’s judges, then we don’t have a Republic—we have a bureaucratic oligarchy with open borders.
