Liz Harrington Blasts Dan Bongino for Betraying MAGA

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is facing major blowback from conservatives and MAGA loyalists after seemingly downplaying the July 13th assassination attempt on President Trump — and the response has been swift and brutal, led by none other than Trump’s former spokeswoman Liz Harrington.

Bongino, once seen as a hero for exposing failures inside the Secret Service, stunned viewers during a Sunday Morning Futures appearance with Maria Bartiromo by essentially brushing off concerns about the depth and integrity of the investigation into the attack.

“We’ve been personally briefed extensively on every single detail,” Bongino told Bartiromo. “If there was a big, explosive ‘there’ there… we would have told you.”

Wrong answer.

Liz Harrington didn’t waste time. In a scathing social media post, she torched Bongino’s remarks and exposed the contradictions in his defense of the FBI’s narrative.

“I’m sorry, the investigation into J13 is closed?” Harrington asked. “Who were you briefed by? The people who came in, hosed down the crime scene, cremated the body, stonewalled congressional investigators, and lawyered up the family?”

She added, “There is a ‘there’ there because we know NOTHING about Crooks, or who he was talking to… If this is true, they need to come out with everything they know about why and HOW a 20-year-old pulled that off.”

And she’s right to ask.

Thomas Matthew Crooks wasn’t just some deranged lone wolf. He was able to execute a complex operation involving a drone, a rifle, a range finder, explosives, and a rooftop position just 450 feet away from the stage — despite being flagged in advance by surveillance and eyewitnesses.

Here’s what we know:

• Crooks flew a drone over the rally grounds two hours before Trump took the stage.
• He somehow bypassed multiple layers of security to reach an elevated rooftop.
• Despite snipers identifying him as suspicious, he wasn’t neutralized.
• He fired eight shots at President Trump, hitting him and killing a rallygoer.
• He parked a car rigged with explosives nearby.

And after all of that, Bongino — a former Secret Service agent — says there’s “not a big explosive ‘there’ there”?

Conservatives aren’t buying it. They want answers, not canned talking points. If Bongino’s briefing came from the same FBI that destroyed the crime scene, incinerated the shooter’s body, and ignored evidence of coordination, then he’s not getting the full picture — or worse, he is, and he’s helping bury it.

America deserves the truth. J13 wasn’t a fluke. It was a failure — one that someone, somewhere, wanted to happen. And downplaying it won’t make the outrage disappear.
