Mexico Proposes US Land Grab as Illegals Wreak Havoc in LA

If there was ever a time to reassert national sovereignty and remind foreign officials that the United States is not a doormat, it’s now. As violent left-wing riots rage in Los Angeles, Mexico’s political elite are not just cheering from the sidelines—they’re openly fantasizing about reclaiming American territory. No, seriously.

On Monday, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, the President of the Mexican Senate, went full radical during a press conference in Mexico City. While discussing the chaos in Los Angeles, Noroña promoted La Reconquista—the unhinged idea that Mexico has a rightful claim to the American Southwest. And he didn’t stop there. He said he once told President Trump in person that he would support building and even paying for Trump’s wall—as long as it followed the Mexican border from 1830. You read that right.

Holding up an old map from before the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, Noroña said California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and parts of several other states were “stripped” from Mexico and should be reclaimed. He described L.A. and California as Mexican land that needs to be “liberated.” He even had the nerve to smirk and say, “You don’t need to speak English to live in Los Angeles.” Classy.

Let’s be crystal clear: this isn’t just revisionist history—it’s territorial delusion. The United States won those lands through war and legal treaty. They were not “stolen”; they were secured as part of international agreements that Mexico signed. But for radicals like Noroña, facts don’t matter. It’s all about fueling anti-American resentment and playing to the globalist Left.

Even worse, this comes just days after Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum egged on rioters in L.A., called them “good men and women,” and threatened the U.S. with more unrest if remittances are taxed. Keep in mind, remittances from the U.S. make up nearly 4% of Mexico’s GDP. We send billions in cash across the border, and this is the thanks we get?

Here’s a thought: if Mexico wants to play games, maybe it’s time Trump slaps tariffs on their exports again, cuts foreign aid, and closes the border tighter than a drum. Let’s see how fast the reconquista crowd changes their tune when the money dries up.

This isn’t diplomacy—it’s provocation. And President Trump should respond accordingly. Enough is enough.

  • Mexico lost Texas twice. First as a result of the Texas war for independence in 1836 when The Republic of Texas became a recognised sovereign nation. And then again after Texas had been admitted to the Union.
