The government officially entered a partial shutdown on October 1st at 12:01 a.m., after seven failed attempts in the Senate to pass a funding bill. But here’s the kicker: the House, led by Republicans, already passed a clean, short-term stopgap bill to keep things running. That’s what responsible governance looks like — keep the lights on while hashing out the details.
But no, Senate Democrats, led by Chuck Schumer, weren’t interested in anything “clean” unless it involved a clean sweep of taxpayer dollars going toward healthcare for illegal aliens. That’s the line in the sand. Forget border security, forget paychecks for military families, forget air traffic control and safety. Democrats are holding America hostage over free government goodies for people who broke our laws to get here.
And don’t take my word for it — take CNN’s. Their report said it bluntly: “Congressional Democrats are privately preparing to hold their position in the shutdown standoff for several more weeks… and not even a missed paycheck for US troops will force them to yield.” You read that right. Not even the troops are enough for Democrats to compromise.
Another aide was quoted saying the party won’t give in short of “planes falling out of the sky.” So we’re not talking about a minor inconvenience at TSA checkpoints — they’re actually willing to risk public safety to score political points. All for what? To give taxpayer-funded healthcare to non-citizens.

Meanwhile, Chuck Schumer is doing his best impression of a soap opera villain, blaming Speaker Mike Johnson and calling it the “Trump shutdown.” That’s rich. The House passed a bill. The Senate killed it. Democrats are the ones stonewalling negotiations and holding Americans hostage — but of course, in D.C. clown world, it’s somehow Trump’s fault.
The real shameful part? The media plays along. If Republicans even hinted at letting the government shut down over a policy wish list, CNN and MSNBC would be screaming about fascism and chaos. But when Democrats do it? It’s just a “negotiation strategy.”
They’ll end the shutdown, alright — but not until Americans suffer. Let that sink in.
We need to fire every Demonrat that is voting to keep the Govt. shut down. They need to die and dissolve into dust. If i had my way, I would put a bounty on every one of their heads. They need to be hanged in the Capitol Rotunda. Fuck the Demonrats.
